Meditation is not a technique but a way of life. The word meditation is derived from two Latin words: meditari (to think,to dwell upon, to exercise the mind) and mederi (to heal). Its Sanskrit derivation ‘medha’ means wisdom. Meditation is popular with all types of people. Publishedscientific and medical evidence has proved its benefits mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

The benefits are numerous and include:
• Improvement in general health
• Improvement in concentration
• Deeper level of relaxation
• Development of psychic abilities.

Our groups are facilitated by highly experienced circle facilitators who can assist you on your journey of learning and understanding to the best of their abilities in a caring and compassionate manner.

All are welcome – You don’t need to be a member to attend our meditation groups. Come every week or just when it suits you – there’s no pressure and no ongoing commitment required. Meditation Groups run right throughout the year, only breaking over the Christmas/New Year period. Note that groups may not run on a public holiday.

Tuesday Morning Group - Facilitated by Marcia

10.30am - 12.00pm Tuesday Morning Meditation Group is a warm and supportive space for personal growth, psychic development, and healing. Open to all levels, it offers a welcoming environment to explore your inner potential and connect with like-minded souls. Each session begins with a guided meditation, followed by intuitive activities such as oracle cards and psychometry to encourage insight and self-discovery. On the second Tuesday of each month, we enjoy a special meditation with sound healing using chimes for deep peace and renewal. Afterwards, members stay to connect and share, with a monthly lunch together adding to the sense of community and friendship.

Open to all levels, each session invites you to relax, reflect, and grow within a welcoming community. We begin with a guided meditation exploring themes such as inner peace, self-awareness, higher connection, and universal love. Following the meditation, there is an informal group discussion to share reflections and insights in a respectful and inclusive setting. More than a weekly gathering, this group is a sanctuary for spiritual growth, connection, and meaningful conversation. All are warmly welcome.

Friday Evening Group - Facilitated by Robert

7.30pm - 9.00pm Friday Evening Meditation Group is a welcoming and inclusive space to nurture spiritual growth and share healing energy. Open to all levels, it offers a supportive environment to connect, explore, and unwind at the end of the week. Each session begins with an opening prayer and spiritual reading, followed by a guided meditation designed to bring relaxation and insight. We then move into a spiritual development activity such as psychometry, oracle cards, or practicing intuitive messages in a safe and encouraging space. We close with a healing experience - often a meditation with chimes, harp, or Reiki - leaving you grounded, refreshed, and ready for the week ahead.

The Seven Principles form the basis of Spiritualism, and help Spiritualists to navigate and combine their spiritual and human journeys. They were given through the mediumship of Emma Hardinge Britten, and are adopted by those who choose Spiritualism as their religion (with liberty of interpretation).
  1. The fatherhood of God
  2. The brotherhood of man
  3. The communication of Spirit and the ministry of Angels
  4. The continuous existence of the human soul
  5. Personal responsibility
  6. Compensation and retribution hereafter for all good and evil deeds done on earth
  7. Eternal progress open to every soul
